Home Buyer Tax Credit Extended for Military Personnel

Qualified military can gain $8,000 as First Time Home Buyers, and $6,500 for certain repeat buyers.

M2 Lending Solutions would like to thank all members of the U.S military on active duty for their services to America. As a reminder, all active duty members have up to an extra year to benefit from the $8,000 dollar incentive offered under the “First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit”

All members of the uniformed U.S military, members of the Foreign Service of the U.S, or employees of the intelligence community who are actively serving outside of the U.S on “office extended duty” are eligible to participate in this program.

According to NAR President Charles McMillian “These men and women are often hindered by hardships from full participation in the American Dream of homeownership because their duty disrupts them in buying and selling of their home”. M2 Lending Solutions wants to help all active military with their pursuit of the American Dream.

First Time Home Buyers who are eligible can obtain a tax credit of $8,000 dollars. For those homeowners that have lived in the home they are selling, or have sold, as principal residences for 5 consecutive years in the past 8 years are eligible for up to $6,500.

Income limits for eligible homebuyers are expanded to $125,000 for single buyers and $225,000 for couples; any may not extend an $800,000 purchase price.
